Erisioni Rehearsal, Tbilisi, Georgia continued

More from the amazing rehearsal of yesterday. I never tire of seeing and hearing these performances - they always thrill with their combinations of impossible strength and stamina (men jumping high in the air to land on their shins, women gliding across the floor in long dresses, foot movements invisible). Static photographs, to my mind, convey far too little of the excitement and energy which abounds and overflows into the audience.

It's so easy with digital as you can check the results instantly.
One big tip from my friend who sold me the camera was: put a clear strong orange filter over the fill-in flash when you're shooting in normal (tungsten) light-bulb lighting. This will balance the flash's colour temterature to the tunsten, & avoid that bluish tinge (which I have in these photos) to flash-lit parts of the scene when the rest of the scene is corrected for the tungsten colour, which is warmer.
