Ushguli, Svaneti, Georgia
Enguri again. If there's anything to be learned from all of these images, it's that endless variety - and fascination, and beauty - can be found on the banks of a small river, the places where water and earth interact with each other and with the weather - the edges.
Bottom 2 - a friend taking his cows for watering
And - greetings to Brunei Darussalam, from where I just got my first guest to the blog (country #94) - someone whom I suspect I know.

Ushguli, Svaneti, Georgia
Enguri details, what can I say. If you're tired of cold winter images, search for "Zimbabwe" on this blog.

Apeni & Gudauri, Georgia
A break from Ushguli, the Enguri River and Svaneti; but not from winter.
1st & 3rd, I (with a southern view all the way to Armenia) and Dennis H at Gudauri, a popular ski resort north of Tbilisi & near the Russian border
2nd & 4th, sleeping cat at Lali's parent's house, where we spent the New Year this year, Apeni, Kakheti province

Ushguli, Svaneti, Georgia
Four disparate images today, but all involving H2O.
Ice banks about to meet on the Enguri, freezing it over
Last ice melting from a bucket
3 contrasting textures
The magnificent structures of the nearly frozen-over Enguri
