The bottom picture shows all of Ushguli as I began my descent. The rest are from near, around and inside the top church, also called Lamaia. (Incidentally, on my trip to Ushguli this week, a French tourist there told me that there is a church in the Italian Alps which is at c. 2700 m of altitude. This, if true, would mean that Ushguli's highest church, Lamaia, is NOT the highest church in Europe.)
